Cement: Sustenance of infrastructures.

Cement, in all types and forms, is the product over which we have based our learning and growth, feeding our experience, and carving our identity and professional attitude, with the complexity of its handling, marketing and shipping and with the level of efficiency and flexibility that allow us to remain standing firm where we are, growing our reputation day by day and building relationships worldwide as leading independent trading company as it can’t be otherwise, always towards achieving higher goals.

Cement, the basic material on which the construction does base the growth and development of the modern civilization as we know it, through the time and everywhere in our planet. And so, we must keep improving.

Our company offers all types of cement and in every form or presentation:

  • Ordinary Portland Cement,
  • Portland Composite Cement,
  • Sulphate and Sea Water Resistant Cement,
  • White Cement.
  • Blast Furnace Slag Cement.
  • Pozzolanic Cement.
  • Oil Well Cement.
  • Other Special Cements (ultra-high early strength, microcements, low heat of hydration, air entraining, etc…)

From leading manufacturers worldwide, ensuring products complying with international standards and supervised by main certification bodies.

Meeting all requirements, when and where needed, any specification, packaging, geographical destination or involved logistics, adding a precise and timely delivery.

Cement is supplied in bulk or packed: in Big Bags of 1.5-2.0 tons  or in bags of 50 kg  or  42.5 kg in sling  bags of 1.5  tons. Packaging can be customized.

Clinker: Essence of Portland cement.

Despite a steady continuous innovation in the field of construction materials and research for alternatives with an aim of minimizing their environmental impact, Clinker remains the essential constituent of cement in all its forms. Obtained after a process of calcination of raw meal, mainly limestone and clays at temperatures reaching 1450 0C and after ground in combination with other mineral constituents or by-products,  depending on target final product, Clinker is transformed into cement,  ready for use in the erection of buildings and infrastructures that favors the progress and advance of our societies.

Clinker is supplied in bulk.

Blast Furnace Slag. From steel furnace to the construction of large infrastructures.

From an ecological and environmentally friendly perspective, but without neglecting the necessary development and progress towards better forms of construction, CEMCO is firmly engaged and committed towards promoting Clinker replacement. In this regard, blast furnace slags play an essential role, long since becoming a powerful and valuable constituent in the production of cements with, among others, improvement in the resistance to sulphates and aggressive soils attack, alkali-silica reaction (ASR), or the high heat of hydration accrued during setting of cement massively used for some civil works, all the above without jeopardizing the strength or any other structural features of cement.

Obtained as a by-product after sintering of iron ore in the steel furnaces, CEMCO has significantly increased the export volumes of granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) and also, ground granulated slag (GGBFS), for a steadily growing customers base looking intensively using such materials, aimed at achieving the objectives set for a gradual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).

GBFS is supplied in bulk. GGBFS can be supplied either in bulk or in 1.5 tons Big Bags.

understand the market

Like slag, though from a different origin, obtained by coal firing in thermal power plants, fly ash acquires significant relevance in the design of cement mixtures for the manufacture of concrete, providing improved performances in the manufacturing of prefabricated products or when a massive use of cement is required to build large civil engineering structures such as dams for hydropower plants.

So after coal is burnt to produce electricity, ashes are brought back to life to form new sources of renewable energy. Our aim converting residues into by-products.

In the employment of such by-products, we observe a great potential supporting the growth of mature markets and development of emerging ones and the replacement of clinker/cement in the production of more technically advanced products that favor a steady evolution while favoring environmental protection, common well-being and, ultimately, enroute towards an improvement of the world where we all live in.

Fly ash is supplied wet or dry. In bulk or in Jumbo Bags.

Steam coal: Solid fuel from the bowels of the earth.

Steam coal is a material formed over millions of years of natural geologic fossilization. Its use as traditional fuel, due to its high calorific power, has widespread for industries with an intensive energy needs like thermal power or cement industry all around the world.

However, measures aimed at zero GHG emissions, is leading to a gradual replacement  by  other forms of infinite and cleaner renewable energies available from water, sun, wind or earth, which are significantly gaining a major role in electric and heat generation and, therefore,  increasingly their presence in our daily lives.

Coal is supplied in bulk.

Pet Coke: From oil refining to cement kilns.

Petroleum coke is the product of coking (residue after calcination) of oil during refining and distillation. It is a by-product with a high calorific power and low ash content, offering a good alternative to coal in its use as fuel in the cement industry, as well as in thermal power plants or ceramic industry.

Coke is supplied in bulk.

Synthetic gypsum (FGD): The amazing results of chemistry inside the power plant.

Resulting as by-product from Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) in thermal power plants, this synthetic gypsum is ideally used in the prefabrication industry, due to its particular characteristics and unnatural homogeneity, happens to be a good alternative to the use of natural gypsum, sharing the same molecular composition CaSO4•2H2O.

The FGD is supplied in bulk.

Natural gypsum: The cement setting ingredient.

Gypsum has a natural origin and is used for its setting and adhesion properties when mixed with water. Its own nature and properties make gypsum a basic ingredient in the production of cement, concretes, and mortars.

Its mineral origin (aljez – in its Hispanic Arabic etymology- calcium sulfate and water) is also the base of other materials such as clay, limestone, silica, or vermiculite.

Its use is very extended, since it is a very versatile and widely used in the construction industry like in many others, such as food industry or agriculture.

Natural gypsum is exported in bulk.
